The IMA-Sealscanner® is a fast, precise, and reproducible measuring device for the geometric characterization of radial shaft seals.
A laser scanner optically detects the seal-ring contour; a deflecting mirror allows the inner contour to be detected precisely. During a 360° rotation up to 10,000 profiles are recorded – the entire circumference is scanned within 10 seconds. The software automatically determines wear width and sealing-edge inner diameter across the full circumference.
The Sealscanner® is the ideal measuring device for quality control in seal production, failure analysis, and wear measurement of seals after field tests.
Complete 360° scan of seal geometry in just 10 seconds. 10,000 to 30,000 measurement profiles per revolution with 1024 points per profile.
The IMA-Sealscanner® Viewer automatically determines wear width and sealing-edge inner diameter, identifies minimum and maximum wear and creates a protocol for every evaluation.
Suitable for seals with inner diameters from 25 to 200 mm. Other rotationally symmetrical parts such as grinding wheels, clutch discs or crown wheels can also be measured.
Raw data in the standardised *.sdf format (DIN EN ISO 25178-71). Export of evaluations and protocols as PNG, SVG, CSV or PDF.
