The IMA-Sealobserver® converts any microscope (not included) into a unique inspection tool for the inner sealing edge of seal rings.
The beam path is deflected by a prism so the inner surface of a seal ring can be inspected without cutting it open. The seal ring can be tilted to align the sealing edge perpendicular to the beam path, eliminating shallow depth-of-field problems at high magnifications and guaranteeing correct determination of the contact width.
Once adjusted, the unique design of the Sealobserver® keeps the sealing edge in focus while tilting or rotating, so the entire seal ring can be inspected accurately and quickly. Six individually controllable LED sectors provide reproducible illumination for precise photo documentation.
The LED array can be controlled individually in 6 sectors. White-light LEDs (6500 K) with CRI >90 deliver high colour accuracy. Adjustable settings give the same results again and again.
The seal ring can be tilted by ±45°. Once adjusted, the sealing edge stays in focus while tilting or rotating – correct contact-width determination guaranteed.
Positioning pins allow the ring to be rotated while staying in focus. Height adjustment for different seal diameters.
A prism deflects the beam path so the inner surface of a seal ring can be inspected without cutting the ring open.
